UC Davis Ice Hockey is a club team that competes in the Tier 3 North Division of the West Coast Hockey Conference (WCHC) of the American Collegiate Hockey Association (ACHA). Founded in the early 80s, the team has a long history playing against local teams, including Santa Clara University, Stanford University, and UC Berkeley. The Aggies generally take players looking to continue playing ice hockey at a high level, but also welcome many newcomers to hockey looking to learn the game! The team is run for the players, by the players, and relies on self-funding and donations.

Over the years, the success of the team has varied widely, from winning the PCHA to making regionals. The team is always motivated, excited, and ready to play for a full season, spanning October to February. Over the course of Fall and Winter Quarter, the Aggies play about 20 games, striving to play to the best of their abilities in order to make the playoffs.

For those who are new to the sport or would like to play at a less competitive level, there is also a second team, which participates in Vacaville Ice Sports’ Adult Hockey League. This team includes weekly practices alongside the rest of the club, but play in their own exclusive games each weekend, from Fall Quarter through Spring Quarter.
